Xavier University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Events and Conferences to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our events and conference portfolio. This individual will be responsible for developing innovative event strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact experiences that align with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a strategic vision for events and conferences to support organizational objectives.
· Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of multiple events and conferences, ranging from small-scale gatherings to large, complex events.
· Lead a team of event professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure events align with branding, marketing, and business development goals.
· Build and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to ensure seamless event delivery.
· Manage contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to company standards.
· Monitor and evaluate event performance, leveraging feedback and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
· Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge event experiences.
· Ensure all events comply with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
