POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Associate works in conjunction with and under the direction of the Associate Director, Development and Vice President of Development to achieve departmental goals and vision. This position plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) and increasing philanthropic support by overseeing digital fundraising engagement initiatives, managing development-related communications and schedules, and cultivating community partnerships. This position serves as the primary administrator for online giving campaigns and fundraising events, auctions, donor-facing digital platforms, and in-kind sponsorships. Working collaboratively with both the Development and Marketing teams, the Development Associate ensures a cohesive, compelling, and donor-centered experience across all fundraising communications and engagement opportunities.
Responsibilities
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Function as liaison between the Development and Marketing departments to ensure the design and creation of all printed and digital campaign and donor materials, schedules, and timelines. Create, maintain, and communicate the marketing campaign schedule and assets with appropriate parties. Successfully execute campaigns based on agreed upon dates, outcomes, and metrics. With the Marketing team, manage the Development portions of the CAA website. Execute all online giving campaigns and events from initial vision through completion. Execute all online auctions and fundraising platforms, including setup, donor communications, procurement, coordination, reporting, and fulfillment. Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve donor participation and revenue generation. Manage a portfolio of the organization’s in-kind Community Partners, cultivating relationships with businesses and community organizations that provide goods, services, experiences, and auction items. Create reports and findings to inform future campaigns. Assist with implementation of sponsor benefits that involve forward facing communications (website, eblasts schedule, etc.) Support annual fundraising events through digital engagement strategies, online giving components, sponsorship fulfillment, and auction management. Identify and secure new, in-kind partnerships that support fundraising events, donor experiences, and organizational initiatives. Coordinate recognition, stewardship, and fulfillment activities for community partners. Coordinate the execution of annual contracts with all Community Partners. Maintain accurate records and reports related to in-kind contributions and works closely with finance on reporting of in-kind contributions.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred, and a minimum of three years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Knowledgeable in development and fundraising, project management, relationship building, marketing practices and digital fundraising tools. Knowledge of the arts community and artistic mediums. The ability to collaborate across departments. Exceptional communication skills, both with donors and other partners. The ability to manage timelines and deadlines. A positive approach to problem solving and collaboration.

? Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
? Ability to learn new technologies and implement them to satisfy job requirements.
