Donerik Black is a passionate business development professional and servant leader who currently serves as the Director of the Construction Resource Center (CRC) for the Dayton, Ohio office of Economic and Community Development Institute. Driven by a deep commitment to entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, Donerik is known for taking a hands-on approach, working side-by-side with clients to identify barriers, develop practical solutions, and create pathways to long-term success.
In his role, Donerik provides strategic guidance and technical assistance to small businesses throughout Ohio, with a primary focus on commercial and residential construction companies and related industries. He helps entrepreneurs navigate business growth challenges by providing support in areas such as business planning, access to capital, contracting opportunities, certification readiness, and relationship development.
Donerik also oversees grant-funded initiatives and collaborates directly with contractors to deliver business development services, growth strategies, and connections to prime contractors in both the public and private sectors. His work includes helping businesses pursue local, state, and federal certifications, strengthening operational capacity, and positioning companies for sustainable growth.
A strong advocate for underserved and underrepresented entrepreneurs, Donerik actively cultivates partnerships with organizations across Ohio that share a common mission: providing small businesses with access to critical resources, meaningful coaching, valuable connections, and capital. Through his leadership, he continues to empower entrepreneurs to build stronger businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the economic vitality of their communities.
